Let's Craft and Create - Challenge #118 Halloween/Autumn/Fall Thanksto those who took part in our  last challenge... #117 SPOTS OR STRIPES Now Team 2's inspirations are now availble to check  out for Challenge 118 Here is my two pieces of inspiration.  I decided on a card and layout. I assume that the reason we seem to navigate towards the colour orange for Halloween are the pumpkins, but yes it was my first choose and goes so well with black. The combination really pops. Here are a couple of close ups.    So for the card I used a Tim Holtz twigs and leaves die, as they looks like bones.  I alos made an envelope to go with the card. The boys are giving the card to our neighbour for Halloween.  This layout is all layers, 10 in fact under the photo.  I love how it has turned out.  I even used all the packaging from the black bat cover tree branch.  Yes including the plastic which I used to matt the photo     I have ha

Time for the second challenge for this month fro  'Lets Scrap Sketches' .  The talented Mich has provided the sketch and here is my take,  and rather than large photos I choose to cut one photo as a window frame and reduce the size. The background is a mix of inks, stamps and stencilling.  My new fav stencil is this feather one from Kaiser I decided to go with some rustic kites as the embellishments for this layout, foam taped on together some height. The feather stencil is now my new favourite from Kaiser     I hope you like the layout. Can't to see what you come up with. Happy crafting J

Lets Scrap first challenge for October. I love October because it means that summer is only just arond the corner here in New Zealand.  And even more opportunity to take photo for scrapping. Here is our sketch from the talentd Mich: And here is my take on the   sketch      I used a new Kaiser range papers and some prima flowers.      I used my trusty old sewing machine to attached the photo mat sections.       The right hand layout has a folded section for journalling.    I loved the papers and decided not to cut thru the design so opted instead to cut around the hanging plants and feathers.  Hope you like it.   Can wait to see your take on the sketch. Happy scrapping. J
