Paper Flower decorations

Image
Over the break I had this constant thought in the back of my mind:  'What will I do for this years Gala.  So decided to stay a little earlier in trying out a few ideas.  Here is the first one.  Flower decoration for a girls room.   Looking at the original photo it was hard to judge the size so here is the same flower next to hubby's photo and also one of the xmas decorations I made using the same technique. Each petal is a 7.5 inch paper square, each flower is made up of 5 petals and the bunch is made up of 12 flowers.  yep, 60 sheets of paper.

I just love prima flowers and I can not help myself.  I can not resist buying them every time I see a new range.  And these ones I used on Tira's layout was no exception.     Here are a couple of more detailed photos:     I spent a little bit of time cutting out some of the more details parts of the papers I used Hope you like it.

Welcoming in 2014

Yes, another year has past and another year begins.  Hoping that this year will be full of fun, love and friendships.  Well, the holidays are over here in New Zealand for the majority and although the kids are still off school for another 3 weeks it is back to work for me.  After a couple of months off crafting I am back into the swing of things and I will be posting over the next couple of days some of the things I have been doing so keep watching.  See you soon.  Jonnece Here are some of the inspirational photos from the several hundred I have taken over the Christmas break.  Yes the kids got the pool setup.      Yep,  they made me do the Santa run.  Several hundred people dressed up as Santa and run around the city centre to raise money for the children in need.   Not that much fun when it is summer and extremely hot.
