Greetings

I have always found it amazing how many viewers I have on my little blog from all over the world.  Initially I started this so I could share my family moments and crafting with my family and friends in New Zealand, Australia and the UK but it is nice to see that others also get some enjoyment from my blog.  A big New Zealand 'Haere Mai' (welcome) to you all - Welkom Bienvenida Bonjour Hallo Gerngesehen приветствие    (my apologies if I have spelt any of the above incorrectly)

Sea shell layout

I had a great weekend scrapping with the group of ladies who I had the pleasure of completing a circle journal project.  During the weekend we got our journals back after 12 months.   I will blog my completed journal, which I am so happy with but first I will share with you my layouts from the weekend and one I did today: First my Sea shell layout.  The boys and I collected shells from our visit to Mt Maunganui a couple of weeks ago: This layout won the 'Peoples choice' award Aug/Sept 2012 at the Scrapbook awards.    As the layout is lumpy bumpy it sits on a stand rather than in an album.    I used foil paper and inks for the photo frame    I also soaked the shells in ink over night so they would have a slight blue colour.  This layout received an award in the Scrapbook Awards People's Choice for Aug/Sept 2012 The next layout is on white cardstock coloured with glimmer mist and inks.  I used paua shells in this layout      The

Smash Book

A couple of months ago I joined other scrappers in a Smash book circle.  We each selected our Smash book title and over a couple of months each of us completed 2 x A5 size pages for each of other circle members.  As each person completed their batch of pages they sent them our co-ordinator.  When all the pages were received she collated into each persons batch and sent them off.  And I got mine today.  And yes I could not wait and as I had pre-made my cover,  I made the Book and here it is.       Here are the wonderful pages         Fantastic, I just love it.
