Lets craft and Create - Challenge #118 Halloween/Autumn/Fall

Let's Craft and Create - Challenge #118 Halloween/Autumn/Fall
Thanksto those who took part in our  last challenge...

Now Team 2's inspirations are now availble to check out for Challenge 118
Here is my two pieces of inspiration.  I decided on a card and layout.

I assume that the reason we seem to navigate towards the colour orange for Halloween are the pumpkins, but yes it was my first choose and goes so well with black. The combination really pops.

Here are a couple of close ups.

So for the card I used a Tim Holtz twigs and leaves die, as they looks like bones.
I alos made an envelope to go with the card.
The boys are giving the card to our neighbour for Halloween.

This layout is all layers, 10 in fact under the photo.  I love how it has turned out.  I even used all the packaging from the black bat cover tree branch.  Yes including the plastic which I used to matt the photo

I have had the bats for a while now. It is so great when I can use something from my stash

So for the next few weeks it will be on the fridge for all to see
before being place in Tira's album.

Hope you like.  And I look forward to see your creations.

Happy scrapping

Lets scrap sketch challenge 10-15-16: Kowhai Park layout

Time for the second challenge for this month fro  'Lets Scrap Sketches'

The talented Mich has provided the sketch

and here is my take,  and rather than large photos I choose to cut one photo as a window frame and reduce the size.

The background is a mix of inks, stamps and stencilling.
My new fav stencil is this feather one from Kaiser

I decided to go with some rustic kites as the embellishments for this layout,
foam taped on together some height.

The feather stencil is now my new favourite from Kaiser

I hope you like the layout.

Can't to see what you come up with.

Happy crafting

Now and then layout for Lets Scrap Sketches 10-01-16

Lets Scrap first challenge for October.

I love October because it means that summer is only just arond the corner
here in New Zealand.

And even more opportunity to take photo for scrapping.

Here is our sketch from the talentd Mich:

And here is my take on the sketch
I used a new Kaiser range papers and some prima flowers.
I used my trusty old sewing machine to attached the photo mat sections.

The right hand layout has a folded section for journalling.

I loved the papers and decided not to cut thru the design so opted instead to cut around the hanging plants and feathers.

Hope you like it.

Can wait to see your take on the sketch.

Happy scrapping.

Happy Birthday greeting from the team

Yep,  it is the boss's birthday this week so a cake is in order and
I have just taken it out of the oven and it is now cooling and waiting to be iced.

In the meantime: I have made a card for the team to sign.

And for the first time I have submitted the card in to the following challenges:

Use your stuff - challenge #234 - Butterflies
The Crazy Challenge -  CCH #231 - Burlap or twine
Artistic Inspiration Challenge  - 163 anything goes
Ooh-la-la creations - challenge 213 - Anything goes
Sunny day crafting - Challenge 15 Always Anything goes
Through the craft room  - Anything Goes Week of September 20, 2016
Crafty card makers - Autumn theme
Craft your passion - Anything goes

please goes check these challenges out.  fun, fun, fun,.

So a masculine card was needed and as I like texture I have built the card up in layers first a patterned Kaiser paper then burlap ribbon and then more Kaiser paper.
I used a feather die and one of the Tim Holtz leave dies for the corner embellishments .
Last but not least a nice little butterfly on the top with the sentiment. And some butterflies in side the card as well.

And as always I made an envelope.

Hope you like card and I hope Alan does.  (to be honest he is more likely to take more  notice of the cake.  LOL)

Challenge #117 for Team 2 'Lets Craft and Create" Spots and Stripes

Here is my first card for 'Lets Craft and Create'  very exciting for me.

new Challenge and the Theme for 'Lets Craft and Create' is

There is a prize up for grabs for the winner of this challenge.

If you would like to be in with a chance of winning, simply enter your creations at 'Lets Craft and Create'

And now here is what I have created as inspiration for this challenge:

This is a card I have made for a friend birthday.
A group of us all put in for a gift voucher.
Te bike section of the card is actually a pocket for the gift card to
be slipped into.

As there are 4 of us to sign the card I made the card to fold out to allow for each of us to write in it.

SO I chose to use spots for this card, and there are on the front of the card and the inside section.

And as I like cards with texture I put a few 3d circles on the front panels.

I hope this gives you some inspiration, can wait to see your creations.

happy crafting

St James School gala crafting.

Wow 9 years of school galas and this is our last one before our youngest
on to a new school.

I made some cards and Christmas treat tins for my final craft stall.  And here are some of the cards:

And as always each one comes with their only matching envelope.

I have absolutely enjoyed my time doing the Gala,  and loved sharing my creations.  The crafting is now handed on to the next group of craft minded talented ladies.  All the best and I will see you on the other side of the shop next year.
