The first challenge for this month from  'Lets Scrap Sketches'

The talented Mich has provided the inspiration.

and here is my take on the sketch using a couple of my favourite Christmas photos of the boys.
I used a Stampin up die for the ornaments
And from my stash a Christmas banner.  Unfortunately the photo does not do it justice

Rather than a large number of photos I choice to use some tags that I had in my stash.

Hope you like the layouts.  I can't wait to your interpretation.
And remember there is a prize up for grabs.
Happy scrapping

Remember to use the above cookie picture as inspiration!
You can create ANYTHING your heart desires, as long as it's clear how you were inspired by the cookies!

This challenge runs for 2 weeks. (Dec 1-14)

I was certainly inspired and with the New Zealand school year coming to an end in the next couple of weeks the teachers gift is high on my boys list of things for me not to forget.
So here is what I have so far.
The box opens to reveal a card surrounded by Christmas ornaments.
I made each ornament using Stampin up dies.
I topped the box with paper strips gently moulded to give the rised ribbon look.

Can't wait to see your creations!

Let's Craft and Create - Challenge #119 Winter

Let's Craft and Create - Challenge #119 Winter Thanks to those who took part in our  last challenge...
#118 Halloween/Autumn/Fall

Now team 2's inspirations are now availble to check out for Challenge 119
Here is my two pieces of inspiration.  I decided on two cards this challenge.

I must say that here in New Zealand winter is over, Spring is here and summer is on it way. So it was a challenge to do a winter themed card.
I used the winter colour on one card and a near christmas type thank you card.

for this card I used real feathers

Good old prima flowers and some misc embelishments from my stash
And I made an dinked a little tag

For this card I embossed the white card stock and embellished with pearl drops.
I used a Tim Holtz leave diefor the banner with a few gold metal leaves from my stash.
Hope you like them, and I look forward to see your work.
Please leave a comment with your blog so I cam come visit.
Happy scrapping.

Let's Scrap Sketches - Tira, all grown up 11-15-16

The final challenge for this month from  'Lets Scrap Sketches'

The talented Mich has provided the inspiration

and here is my take on the sketch.  Using stuff from my stash only.

I stencilled the background using modelling paste.

I used a kaiser die for the TIRA letters and placed them with foam squares
I also sprayed the back ground with glimmer mist
Yep,  my little boy is growing up.

Would love to see your take on the sketch.

Lets Scrap Sketch Challenge for November - Brothers

Wow nearly the end of the year and here is the first of the challenges for the month of November from  'Lets Scrap Sketches'

The talented Mich has provided the inspiration

and here is my take on the sketch.  I would love to see your take on the sketch and also have a look at your blogs.

Now for this challenge I decided that I would attempt to use just stuff from my every growing stash.

I used a stencil that was a a gift on a magazine I purchased.
And my trusty old flag punch for the banner.
I decided against matting the photos as my boys do prefer the simple look on their layouts.
Here are couple more close ups.

Hope you like it and I can't wait to see your layouts.

Happy scrapping

Lets craft and Create - Challenge #118 Halloween/Autumn/Fall

Let's Craft and Create - Challenge #118 Halloween/Autumn/Fall
Thanksto those who took part in our  last challenge...
#117 SPOTS OR STRIPES

Now Team 2's inspirations are now availble to check out for Challenge 118
Here is my two pieces of inspiration.  I decided on a card and layout.

I assume that the reason we seem to navigate towards the colour orange for Halloween are the pumpkins, but yes it was my first choose and goes so well with black. The combination really pops.

Here are a couple of close ups.

So for the card I used a Tim Holtz twigs and leaves die, as they looks like bones.
I alos made an envelope to go with the card.
The boys are giving the card to our neighbour for Halloween.

This layout is all layers, 10 in fact under the photo.  I love how it has turned out.  I even used all the packaging from the black bat cover tree branch.  Yes including the plastic which I used to matt the photo

I have had the bats for a while now. It is so great when I can use something from my stash

So for the next few weeks it will be on the fridge for all to see
before being place in Tira's album.

Hope you like.  And I look forward to see your creations.

Happy scrapping

Lets scrap sketch challenge 10-15-16: Kowhai Park layout

Time for the second challenge for this month fro  'Lets Scrap Sketches'

The talented Mich has provided the sketch

and here is my take,  and rather than large photos I choose to cut one photo as a window frame and reduce the size.

The background is a mix of inks, stamps and stencilling.
My new fav stencil is this feather one from Kaiser

I decided to go with some rustic kites as the embellishments for this layout,
foam taped on together some height.

The feather stencil is now my new favourite from Kaiser

I hope you like the layout.

Can't to see what you come up with.

Happy crafting
